Valentine’s Love for Canadian Brands!

I love sharing things I’m into (hello @thebeachwaver!).  And with Valentine’s day moment’s away (ahem, RG, cough, cough, ahem) I wanted to give some love to Canadian businesses that give me those “will you be mine” vibes. None of these are #ads.  Just straight up things I love that I think you will, too!

Go-Go Sweaters @gogosweaters

If you’ve been scrolling Instagram this winter you’ve probably seen these sweaters on your favourite influencers.  They are not only the CUTEST sweaters, they are hand-knit (as in, a person makes each and every one of them) right here in Canada. Go-Go is also a female owned business who are big on giving back.  I’m wearing the “Classic Long Heart Cardigan” and toque in Marigold (obviously). In fact, “Go Go” is one of the nicknames we have for Goldie so this sweater was meant-to-be for me!  I got mine from @shopthepinkdoor  www.gogosweaters.com

Dawson’s Hot Sauce @dawsonshotsauce

We love this hot sauce so much we gave their Big Smoke Chipotle as wedding favours to our guests when we got married 7 years ago.  Since then, they’ve expanded their line and each one is more delicious than the next.  I keep a full roster of all their flavours in my fridge at all times.  And a couple in the fridge in my office.  Sweet Pear Chilli literally goes on everything and I love their Cremini Habanero on anything eggy.  Dawson’s is family-owned business that was featured on Hot Ones which, if you don’t know, is a big deal in the hot sauce world.

Province Apothecary Radiant Bath + Body Oil @provinceapothecary

We’ve reached that part of winter where even your moisturizer needs moisturizing.  My skin is dry to begin with so winter absolutely wreaks havoc on me. I use this body oil 2 ways:  a few drops right in the bath if I’m having a nice little self-care Sunday.  Or right out of the shower I apply it to my skin while it’s still damp.  Super hydrating and smells like a dream.  Their Repairing + Conditioning Lip Balm is also, bomb. www.provinceapothecary.com

“Lucky” by Marissa Stapley

You know one of those books that hooks you within the first 5 pages?  The book where if you have 5 mins you’re reaching for it?  This is that book. It’s such a fun read!  “Lucky” was chosen as one of @reesebookclub picks so if you don’t believe me, take it from Reese Witherspoon.  Marissa is a Canadian writer and New York Times bestselling author!

Easy Peasy Pancakes @easypeasypancakes

Anyone else wake up every morning wondering what you’re going to feed your kids for breakfast?  I’ve got the answer to your panic:  Easy Peasy Pancakes. I’m all for a pancakes but I’m even more for pancakes that pack protein to keep those bellies fuller, longer.  And they truly are easy: add water, shake, pour, serve.  My kids ask for them (almost) every day.  I (almost) always have to make extra ones for Randall and I too.  www.easypeasypancakes.com

Honibe Kids Immune Boost @honibe

Like so many families, up until last September we hadn’t been sick in forever.  Within 2 weeks of Bea being back to school some cold virus from the depths of hell ripped through our family and took us all out.  Determined not to spend the entire school year passing grossness back and forth to each other, I asked my Insta community for some tips on supplements and vitamins to help with immune boosting.  A whole ton of people recommended Honibe, I immediately added to cart and we haven’t looked back.  Made in Canada with 11 essential vitamins plus natural Canadian honey which is packed with nutrients.  Once I knew they were a hit with the kids I ordered some of the Adult Immune Boost for RG and I. www.honibe.com

Whether you’re shopping for a pal, a partner or yourself this Valentine’s Day I hope you’ll consider supporting these Canadian businesses!

Big love,

Danielle
